Mirella PNC Soyer
Mirella Soyer, of Dutch origin, has lived in Malaysia since 1998. She has a Masters degree in Psychology from the University of Leiden (The Netherlands) with specializations in neuro-psychology, clinical psychology and social & organizational psychology. She also obtained a Masters degree in Business Administration from Henley Management School in the UK. Furthermore she is a Master Practitioner in Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP).
In the Netherlands Mirella worked as a therapist at the detoxification centre of a facility treating people with addictions, providing group and individual counseling. At the University of Leiden she taught communication skills to medical students and general professional skills to psychology students at the University of Nijmegen. Later she joined the KVA Group, a Dutch consulting firm in the role of senior change consultant specializing in developing and implementing strategic goals in profit and non-profit organizations. In Malaysia she joined the Human Resource specialist organization Hay Management Consultants as a regional project manager managing large integrated change projects in the region.
In the year 2000 she founded The Liaison Combination together with Brian Lariche. Mirella's role within TLC is consultant, trainer, counselor, social researcher, project manager and Managing Director. Further she is attached as a part-time lecturer at HELP University College for the Masters in Managerial Psychology teaching the modules ’Psychology of Organizational Change and Development’ and ‘Consulting and Practice’.
Brian John Lariche
Brian Lariche is Malaysian. He is a trainer in soft skills and has trained extensively here in Malaysia and abroad. He worked as Project Adviser for the UNDP Malaysia in the area of HIV, focusing on leadership and community engagement. He was also a trainer facilitator for a Regional Young Global Community Leaders Program.
Brian started his career as a tutor of Malay language and Malaysian culture for local colleges and corporate bodies but soon moved on to his interest of community development.Fluent in Malay and English, Brian is a frequent resource person and facilitator for various national and international NGOs including the National Cancer Society (NCSM), The National Council of Social Welfare, The National Council of Women’s Organizations (NCWO), UNDP and UNICEF.
He also conducts varied capacity building workshops for Community Based Organisations. He has written, translated and adapted numerous books, resources and brochures on socio- medical issues for local communities. He sits on a variety of committees both local and international. These include school boards, societies and local and international conferences.
His focus is in the area of community development, HIV, cancer, project management and volunteer management. Brian’s role within TLC is consultant, trainer, project manager, community specialist and executive director.
Christine Edwards
Christine is no stranger to the media. She has worked for print, electronic media organisations both nationally and regionally.
Understanding the media and the way it works has helped her assist numerous clients plan strategies to their best advantage. Christine began her career in broadcasting at TV3, a privately-owned television station, where she worked as a producer and presenter of life news bulletins as well as the weekly financial current affair show 'Money Matters'. Eventually she moved on to anchor and co-produce segments on 'Asia This Week', a weekly round-up of the top stories around the region aired on Asia Business News (now CNBC Asia).
Alongside her considerable efforts in corporate PR, Christine also continues as a free-lance presenter, scriptwriter and producer of current affairs programmes and documentaries.
She has a passion for communication involving all sorts of media. Her role within TLC is consultant, media specialist and event host.
Keek Seng Bee
Keek Seng Bee graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Social Science. He has been in the consulting business for the last 16 years in the area of Strategic Thinking, Leadership Development and Competency-based consulting.
He started his career as a social worker with the National Council of Social Services of Singapore, before embarking on a consulting career three years later. He worked with the Hay Group (where he recruited Mirella), a specialist Human Resource consulting firm where he customised leading edge HR practices to the Asian environment. Throughout his consulting career Seng Bee has worked with numerous foreign and Malaysian clients including IBM, Bayer, Johnson & Johnson, Royal Selangor Group, Southern Steel Group, Maybank Group, Renong Group, Petronas, Malaysia Airport Berhad, Bank Negara, EPF and as well many others.
